Synopsis

Public Enemies, a crime drama directed by Michael Mann, chronicles the life of infamous bank robber John Dillinger (played by Johnny Depp). Set during the Great Depression, the film follows Dillinger's criminal exploits, his charismatic persona, and his love affair with Billie Frechette (portrayed by Marion Cotillard). As Dillinger becomes a folk hero to some, he is pursued by FBI agent Melvin Purvis (played by Christian Bale).
