On January 10th, a man with amnesia walks into a Zürich bank and discovers his safe deposit box contains many false passports and identities. Choosing the American Jason Bourne identity, he is then pursued by police, where he ducks into the American embassy using his Jason Bourne passport. A thrilling escape from the embassy ensues, showing more of Bourne's tactical prowess and instinctual abilities. He then meets Marie, a German woman who was in the embassy trying to secure a visa. Bourne bribes her as a getaway driver, and they flee to Paris.
